Transition minimised differential signalling
Transition minimised differential signalling, TMDS is a derivative of PanelLink that was developed by VESA for computer, LCD and plasma monitors. It has a speed of 165 MHz going up to 200 MHz. Additional
pairs may be used for increased capacity. A pin-out of a TMDS transmit- ter/encoder chip is illustrated in Figure 16.9. The three data pairs are nor- mally marked as TX+ and TX-, one pair for each colour and the clock as TXCLK= and TXCLK-.
