Pressure-Limiting Controls
Certain pressure-limiting controls are used in cooling systems to protect them from extremes in refrigeration suction and discharge line pressures. Whenever the pressures in the system deviate from
port causes the differential pressure across the hollow plunger to vary. The amount of water that will flow through any given size and type of orifice will depend on the pressure differential across the orifice.
Water-regulating valves are rated at a certain quantity of flow under a given pressure differential and the amount of valve open- ing. The amount of opening is controlled by refrigerant pressure, but if the pressure differential is insufficient, no amount of opening will provide the necessary water for the condenser.
